We are always constructing!!
About
1991, while enrolled at the Riverside School of Aeronautics located in Utica N.Y., I supervised a local car wash and
help build a Texaco quick lube center.
After graduating
with a 94 average, I returned back to my home town of KPOU. Fresh out of school, I took an automotive job to help pay
bills while my resumes were out. A previous employer who flew a Lake knew I went to school and put a good word for me
at the local GA shop at KPOU. I was interviewed, hired, and learned all that I could. Eight years later, I moved
out of ther area.
After passing my IA exam in 2000
with 98 test score, I now worked as lead mechanc and shop super at a new location at DXR.
After three years at that location, which was lost to the City of Danbury not wanting to renew
the building's lease, I was offerd the oppurtunity to run a maintenance shop for a local flight school. Overhead
for this shop was to great and it folded within 18 months.
At this time, I decided to go out on my own, and started L J Aviation. If you google it, you'll probably see pics
and posts of my car in many Subaru forums.
My business
flourished, with many previous aircraft owners (customers) wondering where I was at .
After three years at the Danbury facility, with weather, increased labor costs, and astronomical business
operating fees, I packed it in and moved to HBI.
Here, at HBI ,I started Flying Leaf Aviation. My M.O. is the same,
I do the best I can to improve your aircraft's safety and improve your investment.
Within the past 7 months at this location, again, I have done nothing but the best I can to work
with customers and their aircraft to make it safe and enjoyable. I already have a great customer base, and if your in
the area, I ask you to stop by and say hello.
